Artist Bio
Caroline Adam is a San Antonio artist, born in 1991. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School ISD in 2010, and went on to achieve an undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University- Kingsville with her Bachelor of Fine Arts- Studio Art in the spring of 2015.
In college, she had the opportunity to co-curate shows, which lead to one of her professors giving her the position to be the head curator for a show called, “Body of Works” at the Ben Bailey Art Gallery in 2013. In the summer of 2013, she won a scholarship that went towards a study abroad trip to Yokosuka, Japan. In Japan, she was able to lead workshops in drawing to local high school students, be interviewed by the news, and meet with the Major of Yokosuka. She displayed her artwork for two senior shows in the fall of 2014 exhibition, Jack of All Traits.
After graduation, she moved back to her home town of San Antonio where she wanted to find her voice in the art culture. On April 1st 2016, she moved into her first studio space at Hausmann Millworks, and then went on to have her first solo exhibition on April 6th at Artists with a Mission. Since April she has vended, live painted, and or shown in locations like: Blue Star Brewery, La Villita, San Antonio Collab, Limelight, The Aztec, Heart House Gallery, Art Matter's Gallery at Blue Star Complex, the UTSA Alumni Gala, and the Albert Gonzales Studio/Gallery. Caroline has three paintings in the UTSA Art Collection. With no plan of leaving San Antonio anytime soon, the future is big, and she cannot wait to keep exploring her inner artist while inspiring people around her.
