Larry Shanks - Born and raised on an Iowa farm before obtaining a Chemical Engineering degree from Iowa State University.  Larry worked for Chevron for 33 years providing technical support, engineering & operating supervisor, plant design, construction & start-up, and worked in numerous management positions.  He has been retired from Chevron since 1999.

Larry's interest in carpentry, wood and building furniture started at an early age.  His interest and self-education in wood turning developed in earnest after retirement.  He has been happily married for 53 years, has two children and two grandchildren.
